If it’s time to go back to work, have a few practice runs for getting ready in the morning before your first day back. You could also try leaving your baby with your childminder or nursery for a few hours every now and again before you return to work so she is used to the surroundings, the people and the other children.

Regardless of whether or not you’re working, it’s a good idea to get your baby accustomed to being left with other people sometimes, and for you to have some time to yourself.

Arrange for your partner, your mum or a close friend to take her for a set amount of time every week – and, if possible, use this time to do something you really want to do. Perhaps go to the gym, go swimming, go shopping, meet up with friends…
