Babies change a lot during months 9-12. Here’s our guide to roughly what happens and when…

9 Months

  • Sleeping all night – most of the time!
  • Developing hand to eye co-ordination
  • Able to let go of objects
  • Able to move from lying down to sitting up without help
  • Developing her own personality

10 Months

  • Able to clap hands
  • Mimicking everything you do
  • Waves bye-bye!
  • Keen to eat what you’re eating
  • Loves to play

11 Months

  • First word – possibly ‘Dada’ or ‘Mama’!
  • Trying to stand up

12 Months

  • Standing up – and sitting down again
  • Responds to her own name
  • First steps!
