Breast feeding is a great way of getting back into shape after pregnancy, as it burns up extra calories and also helps your womb shrink back to its normal size. If you think you still need to lose a bit more of weight - don’t diet. Instead, adopt a healthy eating regime and try to take some gentle exercise, such as walking.
You could also ask at your local Leisure Centre or gym about post-natal exercise classes or if any of the exercise classes are suitable for new mums and have crèche facilities.
